Well, at long last, I have moved and settled in to a new little hamlet named Bezanson, outside of Grande Prairie, Alberta. The landlord has turned out to be a very good sort after all and I think we will get along fine.
I have not been able to set up my studio yet but I think next week I will haave the time and will be able to do some more painting. It was quite a job packing and unpacking and I shudder to think I am actually only half done as we left a lot of stuff at the house in Terrace until it sells. I already miss some of the stuff we decded we could live without for a while; the air conditioner, the outdoor furniture and the barbecue (what the heck were we thnking??) We will go back andget the rest after the house sells.
The biggest problem is my litttle chihuahua, he is not happy being indoors all the time and is stubborn about using his paper even though he was well used to using it at home. We take him out for walks away from the property but I think this might have een the mistake, we should have got him settled using the paper first then started his walks. I will be alone with him next week while hubby takes the orientation for his new job and is away most of the day.
I am going to look for work next week I think after I get a bit more settled and see how that goes for a while and am also going to try joining into the local artist community and keep my fingers crossed.
